About Andrea Danneker, M.A.:  Andrea has been working professionally with young children and families for over 12 years.  Early on in her career, she found that sharing her understanding of healthy human development and supporting parents on their personal journey with their children, was not only well received, but also extremely rewarding.  Building strong and healthy families is what her work is all about.

Andrea is a certified Simplicity Parenting Coach and Group Leader through the Center for Social Sustainability and has taken coursework in Antioch University's Waldorf Collaborative Counseling Program.  She has a master's degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College, a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Allegheny College, and obtained a Multiple Subject California Clear Teaching Credential with an emphasis in Cross Cultural Education from Pacific Oaks College.  

Andrea is a skilled educator and group leader, practiced parenting coach, and experienced case manager with additional expertise in working with families who have children with special needs.  In addition to her private practice, Andrea works with an early childhood program providing assessment, guidance, and coordination of early intervention services to young children.  

Andrea has a special interest in children with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges including those with sensory processing and integration issues.    She feels passionate about the attention given to and the development of the whole person; body, mind, soul, and spirit.  Andrea's work with families is strongly guided by her studies of Attachment Theory, Waldorf Education, and the RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) philosophy as well as her understanding of healthy brain development and the human need for purpose, inspiration, and connectedness.  In addition, Andrea's ongoing collaborative work with other childhood experts, elementary teaching experience, and detailed observation visiting families’ in their homes have given her a wealth of knowledge and understanding from which to draw from. 

Andrea is a writer, provides personal family coaching, presents lectures, leads workshops, and facilitates discussion and integration parenting groups for schools, churches, and parent organizations.

Andrea lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband and three children.

Andrea's hope is to provide the information and support needed to allow parents to become the parent they want to be, to have the kind of relationships they want with their children, and live their lives in line with what they value and dream about.
